Javier Mariscal is widely considered to be one of the major national and international designers of recent years thanks to his countless works, all marked by the notable influence of comics and pop culture.
The "Mariscal" exhibition immerses the viewer in the multidisciplinary world of the Mariscal "factory" and takes them into the heart of his creative process. The excessive language, the chaotic process, the contradictions, the quirks, the constant change and the idea that nothing should ever be taken as final are displayed in contrast with a painstaking selection of carefully catalogued hits placed in the context of their author's life and times. Art and design are displayed irrespective of any hierarchy between the different disciplines, vindicating all the items as successes that have marked the frantic production of Mariscal and his studio over four decades.
